Is it possible for me to become a teacher in San Juan del Sur without a degree? I will be getting my money from America when I first arrive but I would eventually like to leave America in America, besides my family. I was thinking about becoming a doctor when I get there, maybe a dentist.

I assume you are fluent in Spanish if you are thinking of studying medicine or dentistry. How will you pay for tuition?

So you don't have a degree, but you are thinking about "becoming a doctor"' when you get there, or "maybe a dentist." " Haha, sounds like a good solid plan.

Well, tuition will be the least of his problems!
UCATSE charges $150 /month for tuition for medicina humana.
Considerably less if you want to be a dentist or vet.
But, yes, your Spanish is going to have to be awfully good.

Welll, interestingly enough potential doctors enter medical school in Nicaragua right out of high school. Five years. I have the curriculum if you are interested.
That's why everyone here is looking for a Cuban doctor :)
Seriously, there are good Nicaraguan doctors, and awfully poor ones. The problem, there is no way to tell the difference except with referrals, and personal experience.
Unlike Costa Rica where every doctor who can manage it does an internship or residency in the US, Nica doctors are limited to Cuba, Venezuela, and for the rare, bright one, Spain.
I've yet to be in front of a Nica doctor who spoke English, so that limits them as well.
If I were going to attempt something like this, I'd fall in love with a Nica medical student and let her bootstrap me through the five years.
You're not going to able to work.

MichaelaLenai - Ja ja ja you gotta be pulling our leg! Nicaragua has a big shortage or rocket scientists so maybe that is your calling. Of course there is a big shortage of rockets too so maybe not.
