As you booked a hostel in town, you should just take a taxi.
In the airport hall (if I remember well, it is left from the departures, when you stand with your back to the entrance door), there is an official airport taxi registration booth. They write an invoice and assign you a reliable taxi.
if I remember well, the price to town is 20 $.

or if you want to save a little, walk across the street towards the hotel mercedes and negotiate a lower fare but don't expect any great bargains as they all know they gocha at the airport at night and charge accordingly. Cabs authorized to pickup at the airport are probably safer, but the one time I took one from there the guy was sneaking drinks from a hidden bottle.
the same distance by day to anywhere but the airport would cost about 5 bucks.

The night time taxi scene at the airport is really ugly. The taxi drivers are very aggressive and want mucho bucks. It is worth walking across the street or booking a shuttle right into Granada on line if that is where you are going.
