Planning to return to Nicaragua for a 3 month stay in early 2016, more than likely March-May. Upon our first visit we traveled from the border of costa rica, up through popoyo along the coastline and had an awesome time! Saw a ton of beautiful places, and met some great people. We are beach, surf and coastline type folks... any must sees you could recommend for our return trip? Also if anyone knows of housing for sale/rent in the SJDS area links or realtors names are greatly appreciated. Happy & Safe travels to all :)

First thing, Easter Sunday is 27 March. Coastal Semana Santa rentals usually need to be arranged well in advance. Unforunately, no new surf spots have been discovered since your last trip, whenever it was. But Nicaragua is still Nicaragua, and if you liked it before, odds are you'll like it now. And there's always places for rent in San Juan, the last couple years starting from about $150-175US a month in a neighborhood where you're the only resident with a passport. The place up on the hill near Jesus with the helipad out past the putting green and the pool is more, or so I've been personally informed. Que les vayan bien!

I have a town house that would be a great "base of operations" for your journey in SJDS. It isnt on the beach, but is away from the hustle and bustle of the town and a short ride to any beach. Let me know if you want more info. Two bedrooms luxury place at a great price.. have fun on your trip! Either way Dont miss granada, Ometepe, Las isletas, masaya volcano the list is long!
