My family is planning on moving to Granada in August. We have three kids: a 9 year old and 6 year old twins. We are looking for a great bilingual school for the kids. So far, I've only found Sacuanjoche International School which sounds great but perhaps very popular and then maybe hard to get into? Any knowledge about Sacuanjoche would be helpful plus any suggestions for other schools would be great.

There are plenty of schools, bigger and smaller. There is one call Cocibolca on the road to Nandaime. I don't think getting into one will be a problem. I would try expats of Granada facebook page to get feedback from people who have kids in school. It is my understanding that most of the schools would like full time students, not snowbirds that come and go. Students are in and out quite a bit.

jzeitlin,
Did you find a bilingual school in Granada? We are moving in Aug '17 and have 3 kids with the oldest two heading into 1st and 4th grade. We have contacted Sacuanjoche International School and they have space so we will probably register to hold the spots. Wanted to hear your experience. I was also going to reach out to the Cocibolca International School as well to see if they have space. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Brett

Hello My family is moving to Nicaragua march 2017 I have three children ages 3, 8 and 11. We did a trip in. August 2016 and November 2016 and visited both schools. Sacuanjoche is our pick . The new Director Marybeth is Amazing we had a great one on one conversation on what our expectations are for our children education . The school has a very warm feeling, teacher student ration is lower then in Canada . We also visited cocibolca but where disappointed for a number of reasons, the main one being the curriculum.
