Which Central American Country is Best to LIve

I would be very interested to hear from any of you who have lived in Panama and Costa Rica as well as Nicaragua now what you think in terms of ranking. And the advantages and disadvantages of each one.......I lived in Costa Rica for a long time, mostly in Puerto Viejo de Limon, which turned out to be the center of gangster tourism in C.R. Sure was great while it lasted tho......I do believe I had the best of it.....C.R. was still bueno, bonito y barato even tho auto taxes and the taxes on imported stuff was always high........Also Ive had a good long stretch in Panama and currently see it following the same course as C.R. Ive been to Nicaragua numerous times, twice in the early daze pre boom, and very depressed and once two years ago and really liked it, and couldnt believe all the new growth and changes.......But its one thing to visit and quite another to live.......Im now debating on whether to head south to Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, or north to Nicalandia.........What say you all with experience, as to the overall comparisons of the 3 Central American countries? Wheres the best place to live now at this time?

Hard to believe theres not somebody in Nicaragua now who has lived in either Panama or Costa Rica before.........I would be interested to know what you think about the cleanliness factor, the noise factor and the general response level factor, and the work ethic factor.......Are Nicas more work oriented than Panamanians for example? We all know that Ticos dont like to get their hands dirty.......

I, for one, grow weary of the seekers seeking the best of whatever. Live wherever you want to live, it is a big world out there. We like where we live for lots of reasons and we are free to move on when we want to. We hope others do the same.

Dum, it is not unxpeceted people do not respond to your inquiry as it is drop loaded with prejudice and opinion. Those of us who have made choices to live in Central America have worked through our own ethnocentism. We cannot do that for you.

Well, so nobody up there in Nicaragua is qualified to have an opinion on the subject matter? Are you just there cuz its cheap? Or are you there becuz you find it enchanting? Becuz the women are wild and wonderful? Becuz the bureaucracy is more negotiable than the top heavy tedious C.R. bureaucracy? Or becuz of the great waves in Popoyo and elsewhere? Or the birdwatching? Or do you find the culture so much more enlightened and inviting and warm than some of these other C.A. countries.........Not such a difficult question really.......Why do you choose Nicaragua over Costa Rica and/or Panama and/or Colombia or Nicaragua? Is the music better? Gotta be better than this reggaeton noise in Panama.........I noticed that there was even old classic rock on the old buses........Are the King and Queen actually cleaning the joint up? Costa Rica finally got clean after so many years........When I first got there, it was a dump too..........but somewhere along the line they got the message and you notice the change now.......Panama doesnt get it.....yet.......Ecuador has got it.......Not everywhere, but most places............Nice culture there.......intelligent and work oriented.........not to say there are some tricksters (legal and otherwise ) out there......but overall very nice.........High import taxes tho on just about everything brought in from outside........Tico style, maybe even worse.......but the canasta is very humble.........Have been hearing good things about Northern Peru lately.....Trujillo y Chiclayo.............The old Spanish Colonial Architechure wins me over.........but I cant move into another dump......where Im the only one who seems to care about keepin the place clean............I need to beat two things really........basura y horrible reggaeton blasting away everywhere........and oh yeah, before i forget........fat girls dressed in pink..........Cant handle much more of that either...........My experience with Nica women in Costa Rica and in Nicaragua briefly was pretty positive....they seem to be more engaging than the typica Pana or at least Chiricana women here...........Like the Tica, more self assured, and ready to engage............and also ready to pitch in and help............And thats what I was hopin some of you would do......pitch in and help.........tell the truth about the place that you live and why you live there when you could live anywhere......or could you?

Did you mean ethnocent(r)ism, "professor jc?
If so you are a fine one to berate others as the word identifies you as one who believes the inherent superiority of your own ethnic group or culture.
You do seem to have a tendency to view other groups or cultures from the perspective of your own shallow world.

Trannyricky, you should go get a diploma in something. Your ignorance is of outstanding merit for one who is allowed computer access after dark., and you are an offensive bore. You give me reason and make me proud I avoid expats.

Trannytree, I do apolgize my spell check only works in Spanish on my Windows 7. And to make you feel real fuzzy,.. my 'shallow world' based on my 'sense of superiority' has allowed me for the past 20 s0me years, as a gringo, to support Nicaraguan immigrant families in three countries and my home family here in Nicaragua the privelge of education, health benefits, and jobs and keeping their families together. So I hope those unfortunate people you have contact with here get a better deal than your cynicism. Some of us do have real and valued lives here.

Dum, you are almost as entertaining as the "Moose lady" last month for your obnoxious ways of 'knowing' before 'experiencing' You already have your own notions and answers before the question is asked. You will never find yourself at home, here or anywhere. And if you treat women the way you speak of them, you will never be accepted in the Latin community, or any for that matter. Sadly I see you continuing a lonely life of tourism. You might find yourself best fit for a life aboard cruise ships.

Bully for you junior, IF what you say is true. Braggarts often lie to bolster their egos and since we all know you have lied in the past, and still do, it's difficult to believe you are telling the truth now. Keep posting tho', I need to have a few laughs.
Your comment, "So I hope those unfortunate people you have contact with here get a better deal than your cynicism." I suppose is based on your close observance of my personal life, NOT! This is one example of your lies should you ask. What, other than cynicism, would I show to a lying braggart?

Ok Dicktree, that is about enough of your nonsense. Call me names, have some fun, but not by calling me a liar, just because you may not agree with my opinions or experience. Shallow commenters like yourself may be fun to play with on line, but not to take such insults from as to my integrity. Your cyncism is a matter of choices you make in your comments, and reflect your lack of integrity, security and maybe some underlying discontent with your life here as not being complete. Not my problem.

In what word or phrase is it a 'lie' in this, my comment on your cynicism? "So I hope those unfortunate people you have contact with here get a better deal than your cynicism." It seems if anyone needs to go back to school for 'comprehension' it is yourself.
