Another of so many narcotics questions

I'm a disabled vet, been taking morphine for 18 years or so, hate it but without it there is just too much pain and I can't function, with it and I function almost like a normal person. Question I have is I'd like to talk to a Dr before I come down. I've read posts where someone is saying how much they love their Dr, well I was wondering if I could get some contact information. Would prefer email 1st if they have it before talking to them on the phone so they could answer more at their convenience.

On a side note, reading through some posts I was reading one person ranting about health care for profit and I couldn't agree more. Having been this way since I was 21, oh the stories I could tell and I have about all the proof you want that they are deliberately trying to bankrupt medicare so they can privatize it.
|I've come to resent so much here any more, american capitalism - all the matters is the bottom line, no matter how you get it.

Narcotics are very controlled and hard to get. Don't count on it even if you talk to a doctor. You can call Vivian Pellas hospital and talk to someone in English. Our friends who have had problems develop that would require narcotics returned to the US or Canada. The local docs would not give one friend who had terminal cancer and mucho pain anything narcotic.

While the regulations here are pretty loose regarding many prescription medicines, when it comes to pain killers in this class...or even the lesser ones it is very difficult to obtain the drugs, even with a doctor's blessing and prescription. I am not sure what it is, but there is a special procedure to be done with the government to do this, This is not first hand knowledge, but been the subject of many on line conversations with those who know first hand. If you want a place to start try online to Pellas Hospital in Managua...they may be able to give you a better general overview of what the possibilities are and how you would do it.

Someone mentioned codene...they are in a class of painkiller a world apart from morphine...just a bit more potent against pain than Tylenol.

I emphasize. A relative has a good friend who takes pain killers so he can work to 65. The VA cut him off for politics so now he buys the same drug at $20 a pill on the street.

If you think capitalist medicine is bad, wait till you see socialist!

Various sources, including a relative going to med school here, says narcotics are almost impossible to get. Although there is a thriving drug trade, it is for recreational drugs, not prescription meds.

Eldue stop the Fake News. There is no "thriving drug trade" in Nicaragua Last week the big news was 15 oz of pot was caught on the border. The street kids here sniff glue. Nicaragua is likely the most drug free country in the world, thanks to Daniel.
