Hey Everybody,
I'm heading to Guayaquil mid to late May for the 5th time (in 2 years) and was wondering if there are any active expat meetings in the city.... Please let me know, I would love to meet some of you "face to face" and learn more about ya.
Will have just graduated college by that time.. There is not too much keeping me tied down in the States... Perhaps a long-term visit will follow this latest trip!
John

Hola John, there are no expat meetings in Guayaquil.
If you're coming down here, don't hesitate to contact me. I'm always open to meeting foreigners who are interested in Guayaquil.

Elvis,
There is this cafe called Cafe Oolala in Urdesa Central (I think). I know it's right next to a Sweet and Coffee... Do you know where it is? Is that a good meet up spot with you?
Please send me your in country contact info via email so I can get in touch with you when I arrive!

Thanks,
John

Nope, I rarely go into cafes here in Guayaquil, except for Sweet and Coffee - hate the coffee but love the dulce de tres leches. :) I remember going to a S&C and got charged almost 90 cents for a tiny cup of coffee. Never again. :D
I'm more into Sports Planet or Hooters. :)
Ok I'll write to you later.

Hi John, Although there aren't meetings here there is small but vibrant expat community. I would be happy to meet you and am quite familiar with Cafe Olala in Urdesa. I would be happy to introduce you to some other exats and give you a hand if you are looking for work. My email is agua_plata@hotmail.com
