Question about what can bring to Ecuador on our move in August. We bought a farm and plan on working on it when we move. We know can bring items needed for work, and also know can not bring an automobile. Where I'm confused is kinda in the middle. Can we bring a sub-compact tractor? How about a 4wheeler? I'm sure we "can".. but are they subject to duties since work related items? If so how much?
Thanks
Scott

You an bring a car no more the 4 years old, no more the 3 liter engine, and no more then $20,000,00. Farm equipment no more then 15 years old. You should double check all this, because info is 2 years old and things change.

Regarding the tractor and 4-wheeler, I suggest you check with your shipping agent in Ecuador. I used Sandra Baquero in Guayaquil for my container and she specifically asked if I had any type motorized wheeled vehicle, such as riding lawn mowers or 4-wheelers because I believe they are treated differently. Even work-related tools can be special cases too. I brought my refrigeration and A/C tools with me and she said they might require I show proof I am trained and certified in their use...such as a contractor's licence. Contact Sandra at sandy,baquero@gmail.com
