I'm interested in how are are doing in Tirana? I am also a retired New Yorker
(S.I.) .I've lived in Barcelona and now I'm in Buenos Aires - very anxious to move to either Tirana or Skopje.
I've visited Tirana 5 times, most recently, last September, but, never thought about living there.
I'd like to hear about the good, the bad and the ugly.

The good:
-Nice climate, you can also sip a coffee outside in the middle of winter
-Cheap
-Tolerant and friendly people
-A lot of cafes, bars and restaurants
-Nice food

Bad:
-Traffic
-Public transport
-Noise

Ugly:
-Communist buildings
-Littering
-Honking
