I've been thinking about a warm place to retire and Italy and Spain are topping my list. Why should I consider Croatia? Cost of living, easier process? I've visited Croatia a few times but for whatever reason I haven't thought about Croatia as a retirement destination.

I would love to hear more. I am seeking a retirement destination. To live on my social security widow benefits as i delve into my writing career fulltime. I have considered Belize, but am a tad reticent as it seems so very popular. Then i wonder about Costa Rica too. Any thoughts are welcomed. Also would love a real estate connection in Croatia to pursue long term rentals. Thanks all!

Two very different destinations. Central America and Europe. For me my two final choices would be in the same continent. Question, do the lifestyles make a difference in your decision?

Hello Airborne. I am seeking to to recluse. To write. To swim. Pool/sea. Far from, yet close enough that a visit to a local restaurant/pub would be an option. This is all rather new to me, the search, the freedom. At present I live on my widow benefits. So my ultimate choice is to choose a private location that.my Monthky $2500 will afford. Does this help? Thanks. Laura May.
