HI all,
I am a single female retiree planning to spend Jan-March on Grenada. I'm US born but have lived in the Caribbean before & now live in Panama. I have a volunteer assignment lined up for Grenada to help connect to the community when I get there. I now am searching for inexpensive housing & possible car rental. Can you recommend any resources? I've already used the typical google search rental agencies & have inquired with some of them. I'm hoping you might have some "insider" info on where to find good deals. I need a furnished 1BR apt & basic vehicle. Thanks. I'm looking forward to getting to know people :-)

I am considering a vacation to Grenada. I also live in Panama and retired and a US citizen. I have the same question you do. I would like to swap information with you.

Hi fellow Panama traveler!
I found a rental agency that offered a long term rental for the car at a reduced rate. All others have been the typical $750 - $1000/mo. This person I think is renting me his extra car essentially, which is fine with me as long as I'm covered for insurance, I just did a google search for car rental & pulled up a long list, then emailed each one.
I used several listings for apt rentals and found one through the local Grenada online paper. There are lots of real estate groups renting I found though that the monthly rentals are for long term, 6 mo - yr. So I was often frustrated when quoted a higher price for a 3 mo stay.
My email is [email protected] if you want to continue the conversation.

I received a private msg about the car rental but was unable to return the msg because the system is not allowing it. If the person who sent me the msg today (2/1) sees this post, please email me directly at [email protected] so I can reply.
