HHi Ter.
Most people including expats live north of Castries, the Rodney bay, Cap estate are. St Lucia is totally different in many ways, all the infrastructure is in place, one of the most modern hospitals in the Caribbean is just about to open. There are two airports . The locals are super friendly and run a lot of the big businesses on the island and expats mix with the locals far more freely than in Belize. The are three Sandals resorts on the island and our villa is a few minutes from Winjammer. What kind of a holiday are you looking for. Have you checked out any hotels on Tripadvisor? When are you hoping to visit ? We have a home near Houston and a beach bungalow on Ambergris Caye.

Hi bobbyveee,
Thank you for info. I was looking at Marigot beach club dive resort, any comments on resort or area, is that close to area you are talking about? Or any suggestions? Looking at toward end of November 1st part of December area of time. I stayed on Ambergris Caye for three weeks in May and fell in love with it but would like to compare. Is your beach bungalow at north or south end? I stayed part of the time at Exotic Caye Resort and Sunbreeze Suites. Does st Lucia have good rental rates 3-6-12 month? Thank you again!

Hi Ter. Marigot Bay is a beautiful inlet with steep sides , very pretty. Its pretty much self contained, and about a 40 minute drive to the Rodney Bay area. Unless your going to hire a car, you will only see the Bay. Nov. is the start of the season so prices will be on the rise. Check out hotels in Gros Islet, that in Rodney Bay . There are vacation rentals that go to 3 months, kinda expensive, the long term start at 6 month, tho many want a yr. We are in a 3 story villa with one of the best views on St Lucia, its on the market for $690,000 , we are renting for just over $1600, the same as we clar for our little beach bungalow. which is the little lemon yellow one with the high wood fence just 3 houses before the bridge, looking out over Boca del Rio park and the beach. Theres a lot of hotels and rentals to choose from, far more than AC

Hi Bobbyveee. Sounds like Rodney bay is the best area. I will check out the bay gardens beach resort you had mentioned. How far is the main airport from there? Thank you so much for your advice!

Hi Ter. Look at any hotels in the Rodney Bay area, The main airport is on the southern tip of St Lucia. Its about 80 mins drive, most hotels will arrange a mini bus or taxi for you.
Let me know if i can help in any way
