Hello,
We are moving to St-Lucia in July. Is there a bar or restaurant that expat meets. This community has been very helpful. We would love to meet expats in St-Lucia. Thank you. Andre and Honey

Hi. The north of the island is full of expats. In the Rodney Bay area they are everywhere, and theres not really a place to meet. Expats mingle with the locals. theres no them and us, which is great. Enjoy your time on the island

I concur with Bobby's comments, however, on Friday and Saturday nights, the Marnia is where you're most likely to hook up with Ex-pats who are enjoying a good meal at one of the restaurants there, as their children, if they have any or running around on the grounds. It's a very nice place to spend an evening, as you look at the boating activity of the bay. Many Ex-pats actually live on the boats there and make their way too and from the marina to eat and or fellowship accordingly.

Thank you Robert. Quick question: Is the tap water safe to drink?
Also if you remember something to not forget to bring or maybe there is a checklist on the forum.
Thank you. Andre

Hi. Yes it is, but we bought a filter jug just to be sure. You don't need to purchase bottled water. Remember the island is 240v OK for multi chargers on phones , I Pads ,PC's etc no good for hair dryers, irons etc. Out lets here are British style, just buy adaptor plugs to go from US to British. You can buy most anything you forgot here
