We visited St Lucia for a vacation and love the laid back atmosphere, gorgeous views, and friendliness of the locals. We're considering putting moving there on our 5-year plan. I work as a software engineer and work remote 100% of the time; as long as there's internet access I'm good to go. Do most working people have a job in the US? Are taxes complicated doing this?
thanks, Brian

Hi Brian. Glad you loved the island, a very special place. Good internet here, reasonably reliable. If you work for yourself and do internet based work in America, no involvement with the island, then no taxes , don't need a work permit. As far as the island gov. Is concerned you earn your income elsewhere. Don't see any probs. Good luck.

Hello Brian,
Let me know if I can help in anyway. We'd love to have you on Island. Bobby is correct, One thing I would add is the only thing you would have to pay would be for a visa, which is basically 75.00 per month USD.....And that may be changing to much less soon enough. Bobby has been working hard to address the need to have long term beach bums like ourselves, spending loads of money on Island, to not have to pay as much to stay.
Joey
