Hello.
We are Canadian living in St Lucia. We want to open a bank account (or three) and have stood in line for hours, was asked a myriad of questions and asked for much paperwork then told that there was an approval process. It's been about 5 weeks and haven't yet been approved. Anyone know a banker that would make an appointment for us and approve us within a week. There is good potential as we own a triplex here outright with rental income and we have 4 pensions between the two of us. Also, we will be moving most of our Canadian assets here in time.

Hi Doris we opened an account at Scotia bank Rodney bay with no problem at all. You do need a letter of recommendation from your Canadian bank. You need to make an appointment, don't just go in. Its really straightforward. You also need some cash to set the account up. We used USD and ec. I have a few names if you need more help. Robert
