Good day to all , my name is Danny I will be arriving at Saint Lucia in February as I have short term and I'll be looking to rent long term as it's just me , I don't need much , my questions are when you find a let's say apartment is it like back home on move in costs , and if Electric isn't included what do you have to do there, and I was going to buy a scooter to get around on now if I buy one once I'm there and it's shipped to me is it High tariffs of not and all that stuff , by the way I'd like to thank you all this is very kind of you to explain over and over to the newbie ,? Hi Danny...if you don't mind living amongst the locals you can get a cheap 1 bedroom. I'd say in the region of around 800ec dollars a month. So just convert that to your currency to get a rough idea. Some apartments include utilities and some don't...some come furnished and some don't. There are facebook groups you can check out there's always loads of properties advertising. Im currently up and down and my partner is there at the moment...we rent a 2 bedroom in Beausejour near the cricket stadium. Built 2 years ago very nicr and we pay 900 ec. It includes water and cable...all we pay is electric. Wherever you rent the electric will be in the landlords name and you just go to the electric company and change it to your name..you will then be responsible for paying the bill regularly or they can cut it off. Hi Danny. What Nikki says is on the ball. also once your there theres lots to see as far as places to rent are concerned. Buy a scooter on the island, so much less hassle. Good luck
