Here is the BNCR routing number once more: 021000018. The 02 prefix denotes the federal reserve bank in NYC. Your account number must contain 18 digits including a dash between the last two digits. BTW, BNCR deducts six dollars for each DD. As for Scotia, I [[[[- canned their number two years ago because the SOBs deduct significant amounts from "inactive" accounts, so I had them restore what they had deducted and closed my account with them.

As I told you two days ago, I used the direct deposit form of the VA, filled it out, including routing number, faxed it to muskogee ok, and voila, for four years have received direct deposits into BNCR. If persist in calling me a liar, that is your lifer problem. I TOTALLY AND DELIBERATELY abandoned that plutocratic, imperialist theocracy six years ago.

That's a Direct Deposit form. That wont work here in CR. The US Govt would need to do a wire transfer. There are no routing numbers or personal checks here. Everything is Visa and cash. Let me know if you know something that I don't know..because I have already tried the direct deposit and it doesn't work. Find a good USA credit union that gives a intl atm fee rebate ..I use Navy Federal and they refund the $5 atm fee and all I pay is about $3 on a $500 atm withdraw.
Furthermore, I would never totally detach from the USA. At least buy a $2000 piece of land and put a mailbox on it. You never know whats going to happen in congress

No problem. Glad to be of service. I have been investigating for a while now. I am contemplating the move but want to have my ducks in a row if I make that move.

TY jeffsgoode-after reading the pdf, I realized that I had misinterpreted the information when reading it earlier.

I think what the OP was referring to, ís a disability that isn't deemed 'permanent' and must be periodically re-accessed.
This is also considered 'unacceptable' to immigration here.

Yes, I receive direct deposit of both SS and VA into my BNCR accounts. One of the many problems with the DVA is that there are alot of un and misinformed workers there. I was told the same thing--it was not possible to receive direct deposits, but a little digging revealed that was not the case. Get VA form 24-0296--Direct Deposit Enrollment, fill it out and fax it to the direct deposit center in Muskogee OK at [918} 781-4395 and you are registered for DD

How you get the Va direct deposit. Is it deposited into a bank in CR? I have Banco national and Scotia Bank here. Lived her since 2006. I tried the Va website and it didn't seem possible! Also, are you getting retired military pay direct deposited. Is that possible?

I have been living in Costa Rica for nearly six years, and have been receiving SS via direct deposit all that time, and VA direct deposit for four years, so I don't know where you got that apparently bogus information.
