I've tried searching under "Ecuadorian Travel Agency" here but don't find anything.
Might be a small place, one you might find through word of mouth. I know quite a few Ecuadorians that are here in Boston. That's how I heard of Delgado, Quisqueyana & Vigo. Unfortunately Vigo never did packages & Quisqueyana no longer does. And both those places used to have more offices but they keep closing more & more of them & moving farther & farther away.
Even though they're cheaper to send money it's gotten to the point where I wind up using Western Union cuz even though they charge $3 or so more for a single transaction it'd cost you double or triple that in gas plus traffic to get to the others.
I called Quisqueyana & asked them if they knew of anyplace else here in Boston that does packages to Ecuador & they said no.
I just don't know how else to find out.
I wish someone on here knew. Word of mouth is usually the best advertisement especially when it comes to small places like that.

Ok, those services I told you are PO BOXES with an address in MIAMI. You sign up, and get a PO BOX.
So if you live in Boston, you use the USPS to deliver a package to the Miami address PO BOX, then it will be delivered to the address in Ecuador.
Yes, you will spend a bit more, but since you can't find any travel agency/courier where you can send packages to Ecuador, that would be your only option.
I think you should really look further, it's probable that you will have an Ecuadorean travel agency in the Boston area.

Could you be a little more specific about what you mean about a "P.O. Box Service"?
Do you mean "Correos Ecuador" or something else?

Your daughter is right. They are a dime a dozen. Every time I google agencies that send packages to Ecuador they all come up "Madrid".
In my case I call them every week for an hour anyway (my mother in law) & I make calls also to the aunt, cousins, sister in laws etc. Using phone cards makes it SO affordable. Not like the old days.
But yes it's super tough not living close to any Ecuadorian areas. There is so much there that I'd love to be near - the comida tipica. God I'd cut off my left arm for an huma or some Si Cafe! And the agencies! There are tons of them in Queens, Jackson Heights etc. But too far away for me.
Usually in my case I only send a package once in a while but now that the Aduana is supposedly doing this new thing w/ the impuestos even though I'm going in only 6 more weeks I won't be able to bring all I have & was planning on bringing. I was hoping to mail some of it with one of these agencies IF I can find one that isn't TOO expensive & you don't have to hand deliver the stuff (unless I can find one near me). I so hate to disappoint especially the children but also the family & friends I promised stuff to & had already told I had gotten this or that for. It's all VERY frustrating!!!

I checked Eshopex & unfortunately what they turned out to be is a "shopping service" for people who live in Ecuador where as the people there can have an acct. w/ them, see stuff online that they want (here), order it through them, pay via credit card etc. & that company will ship it to them.
I've seen other agencies like them but I already have plenty of stuff to send.
The other place you mentioned sounded good except for their restrictions on how many you can send plus the fact you have to hand deliver. NY is too far for me.
There are so few Ecuadorians in the greater Boston area it's doubtful there would be any strictly Ecuadorian agencies. There are Latino agencies but some only do $, some only are travel agencies & some only cater to THEIR home countries. :(
Guess I'm unlucky enough NOT to live in Queens. LOL If I lived there I could buy humas every day & there'd be a million agencies on Roosevelt Ave.

I have that problem too, in that I am 2 + hours away from an Ecuadorean populus. The club correos thing sounds promising. For the most part we have found that there really is nothing that is needed so badly on either end that can't wait to be hand carried. The family really prefers to get a phone call rather than waste money on the sending of something.
a little side laugh, my daughter was in Spain last year for Spring Break and she came back with several photos of the various agencies catering to Ecuadoreans LOL

I'll check the Esho one. Club Correos sounds really high @ $8 per lb.
I have so many relatives that I'd be broke at $8 per lb. LOL

Anothe thing is, unfortunately where I live (Boston) there is NOT a big Ecuadorian population. We do have a pretty large Latino population but many of the (other) agencies ship mostly to their own home countries.
There are more Ecuadorians in western Ma near the NY border but it's a 3-3 1/2 hr. ride if they require in person package drop off. :(

You know that is a good idea. I'm going this summer.
Unfortunately right now Ecuador has a lot of their people living in Spain so I've found many agencies that just do Spain to Ecuador & visa versa but I will give it a try. Thanks

It's pretty steep priced compared to others.
How secure have you found it?
I've heard of some - the stuff never arrives.
Others I have heard of taking up to 9 months.
I've used some that charge $4 per pound up to 8 lbs. & it takes about 6 weeks but is almost always 100% secure but they generally require that you bring the stuff to them & most are located in NY, NJ & Miami.

First, look for any agencies on your phone book catering to Ecuadoreans only.
If not, then use a PO box delivery service.
Btw, my family members deliver stuff from NY using Delgado Travel, but they have a lot of restrictions of how much items you can put within the 4/8 lbs package, and how many times you can send in a week. And yes, you do have to bring to the agency personally.
Your best bet would be to use Club Correos or Eshopex - http://www.eshopex.com/web/como_comprar.aspx
And yes, don't forget about the up to 4 kg and 400 declared value to avoid tax.

You need to check an are where there is a huge Hispanic or even better an Ecuadorean population. Another thing to do is when you are on your trip to Ecuador ask some of the agencies in Ecuador. They can give you suggestions and even contacts to their people in the US.

I've been using Club Correos; it has a small annual membership fee, and you send them packages any way you want (mail, UPS, etc) in FL. They charge up to $8/lb, but no aduana charges if under 4kg and $400; it gets delivered here in the regular mail, in a couple of weeks.

You don't send a money order, they charge a credit card. You approve the charge ahead of time.
