If you move to El Salvador or any other Central American country alone, with no baseline of native spouse/partner, family or a trusted friend, not some ex pat or bi lingual local you may meet in a bar or a social gathering, you will be able to pick up low paying teaching jobs easily at local 'Academies' that will hire you sans work permit, so have at least $3000 in the bank in case you fall ill as you get no medical benefits working 'black', to work full time in a bi lingual High School or International School you should be a Certified Teacher at home or teach IT Computer skills as well, asking the Institution to sponsor you for a work permit! With connections or 'cuello' family or close friend, you easily find work, cars that run, you will need one if tutoring in ES, La Libertad is a tourist town and has a small English Academy where native speakers often volunteer. If you surf, love to party the La Libertad beaches are perfect, not for urban professionals though.
