You should try finding job opportunities online. You might not be able to find some beach resort immediately, but you should be patient and wait for the right opportunity to find a job somewhere you'll actually enjoy living. Best of luck!

If you want to live on beaches then come to Australia the country of beaches. And you can continue your profession here while living on the beaches.

Yahweh 1, yes, there are some organizations in the U.S. that teach English to immigrants but many of the classes are taught by volunteers and those that are paid almost always require at least a master's. So if you've got a higher degree, you may be able to fit in, in one of the large cities. Otherwise, you're out of luck.
Immigrants needing to learn English in this country tend, for the most part, to be low-paid unskilled workers and unable to afford classes, so they take advantage of free or reduced-price classes where they can. The ones with money gravitate to private and commercial language schools where teachers are only hired with higher degrees.
Of course, you can try to go with private classes. In large cities this may work, especially if you are experienced and can put this in your ad. Good luck!

hello. most bilingual and international schools are located in the city. There is one here at the fort called the Chinese International School or you may also try Brent International School( located in Laguna) or IS-Manila 9also located at the Fort).

Hi Drai22, It is good that you are opprtunity to serve in a school at Sharjah. I have lived in Dubai for 1 Year. Sharjah is nice peaceful place to live but weather might be a problem for you. I have also been living at Newcastle, UK so it is hard for person moving from cooler to hotter place. There are rains might be once or twice in a year. It is not very expensive. I think 1000 Dhs. is enough for your monthly grocery n things. Social activities/clubs are limited specialy for a single woment but there are. I hv few frineds over there. Hi there
Am thinking about moving to Sarjah in the UAE to work for Scholars International school. The school looks amazing and the package is great but was wondering if anyone knew anyone working there and could offer information about it. Also what is life like in Sarjah in terms of social life societies clubs events etc, daily shopping and costs of living. I don't have a full driving license so would that be a problem? I am a single woman so would I be restricted in any way? I have lived in an Arab country before so I know that there are some challenges but I would be grateful for any info anyone could provide.

Beach? Island? Any other requirements?
Englishtown is in Bali. They do online teaching. I doubt the pay is very high. They are associated with English First in Indonesia. Not the best company.
If you are looking for a warm weather country, I would look towards South America, but as you are a Brit, and therefore an EU citizen, maybe you can find work teaching in Italy or Portugal?
You should look for other attributes of a school, than just location. If you are a night owl, then you want a language school situation where you can kick off work and party and then sleep until noon and STILL make it to work by 4.

First of all, you should know that without mastering proper English you will not be able to migrate to Canada (or to any English speaking country for that matter), especially when it comes to building up a career. Migration to Canada requires, among other requirements, passing an English interview (or French for the Quebec region) with an officer from the Canadian Embassy.

For further information and details on immigration and settlement to Canada, I trust there are Canadians among us on the boards, who might answer your questions in more detail.

I don't know about the UK but in the US there are some organizations that need ESOL qualified teachers to help teach English to non-English speacking immigrants. Try doing that until you find another country to go to. That way you'll have some experience under your belt and can ask for a higher pay scale. Whatever country you want to go to do your research and contact their Department of Education for any input. Before you leave contact that countries Embassy or Consulate to see what you may have to do BEFORE you leave the UK. Much success!.

The popular concept of happiness seems removed from the fact that you need to WORK AT BEING HAPPY AND BE AMBITIOUS enough to get what you want. It is my impression that people expect a movie world where they can just sit back and have happiness brought to them.
The culture of the USA once prided itself as being a place where if people worked hard they could achieve their dreams. No people seem to just want their dreams without the work.
You do sell dreams, but they are dreams that someone needs to work for. It is my impression that the work part is something that many cannot handle. So perhaps they try to make themselves feel better by trying to lower you down a few pegs, trying to make themselves think that you are not really living their dreams in reality.
Many people would like to sit around
Latin America, S.E. Asia
or Africa on the cheap with all the time in the world to just look at women with hardly any clothes on, but it is far easier for them to just sit where they are and pretend that they don't really want this.
The life of perpetual world traveller or long term ex pat, content in country and culture where they reside, does not come for most on a silver platter, it takes effort and will power to get there. Honest travel writing will show this. Not websites put up by scam artists selling land and real estate or rentals in their 'paradise'.
Relocating? Start by doing your homework, travel to your target country, city or region first. Make contacts and friends, not demands or requests, learn how to do it yourself, save money, time and frustration and you should know, if the local language is not English, learn to speak, read and understand the language above basic level, if you are from the US and are moving 2,000 miles away to live with other people from the US in a gated community, speaking English, sounds like a bad movie to me. just my opinion. Sad, you must be proactive and learn to do your own homework in order to get a teaching job overseas from where you reside. Have you heard of Mr. Google? You are right, there are big cities on or near to the Beach in my region such as Cartegena, Colombia, Riode Janerio, Brazil, Montevideo, Uruguay, etc. where there are International Schools that hire certified teachers that apply in advance, some offer rt ticket and free housing with one year contract, it is up to you to ask Mr. Google, I sure do not have teh time nor disposition to do your research for you, especially since I do not know you at all, and you do not offer any compestaion, just because somebody belongs to a bulletin board or forum does not mean they need do research for anybody and everybody. Time is money, so spend your own time doing your own research online and good luck to you start with clicking on to

You may be qualified to teach and certified, but your Bi lingual Academies and Hifh Schools and the International Schools are all located in the capital cities and large cities and towns, not on Beach Resorts nor small out of the way villages, however you may wish to commence teaching in such places overseas by volunteering or working for a small local school, if one exists, for some time, start by checking out (162 countries) www.idealist.org/ you may find a rural aid project that may hire you.
