We live in Riyadh...After arrival here you need a medical. Once the medical is done it should only take a few days. Once we started the process it took us about a week.
As for the childrens visas, we sorted out all the paperwork before hand and as soon as the Iqama came through we handed in the paperwork for the visa. The visa took about 2 weeks.

How long is a piece iof string?

In Jeddah it took me 5 days.

In Riyadh a month plus. Go figure.

I Know one person that waited for 4 months before they got theirs.

Saudi beauracracy, expect the unexpected.
