Belize: Any one looking for a good deal on Beach land Hopkins area:

I am a very positive person, wish I had had all this advise before Icame to Belize. Was not for me and I knew that in a week, so I did move on to Costa Rico and there is no comparison. So all of us prople have have gained wisdom and knowledge will not bother you again. As a matter of fact, you will probably fit right in.

Ambergris Caye is terrible to me.

Belize: Moving:

I arrived in Ambergris Caye on the 28th, stayed in a hotel three nights, found an apartment to rent. I think I should have gone to Corozal first. The beaches have so much sea grass, you cannot go into the water and it stinks. It is very expensive and not worth it. I am going to take a water taxie to scope things out in Corozal. Might even go to Costa Rico where the cost of living is better and living conditions are better. So far, not impressed with Belize.

Belize: Where to live in Corozal?:

I just moved to Ambergris this week. I think I want to try Corozal. To me, everything is so expensive in AC. What part of Corozal should I rent a one bedroom/bath apartment by the water, furnished?

Ireland: Safety concerns for mother/daughter bus/train/walking vacation:

I moved to Limerick five months ago from the US. I am by myself. I live in the centra so I can walk everywhere. I have always felt safe . There are some areas I probably would not walk at night there are so many that walk around that you feel more secure. The saying "safety in numbers". You just have to be vigilant and make sure you don't advertise, mug me. Have fun.

Belize: Beach without seaweed?:

The sea grass is terrible and stinks so bad. I thought the beaches would be beautiful but terrible. I am headed out in a week. All the ads are misleading. Belize is very expensive and not worth it.

Ireland: Calculate shipping cost to Ireland:

I am still waiting on my boxes, four months this week. I just had to pay 155 more euros for them to bring them to the eight floor even though there are great elevators, when they come. I could have purchased so many of the things cheaper. A few things that are so expensive, I should have left or sold. I am still waiting to see if I will be approved to stay. I live in Limerick and I wonder if I would enjoy the Kerry area more. It's hard to meet people here. I do go to Church so that gives me some Socializing. You live and learn.

Spain: Less expensive cities to live in Spain:

I also am thinking about Spain. I am retired, moved to Limerick Ireland four months ago. Ireland is as expensive as the US, where I am from, which I knew before I made the move. I would like to meet more people, be more social, maybe meet some expats. I go to Church, which is great. Any suggestions on visas, cost of living, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks Pam

Ireland: How does one manage until one can get an Irish bank account:

FlowerFairy, I moved here two months ago. I have a credit card that does not Charge a fee that I use, then I go to A place that I draw money on my debit Card for rent and any cash I need. I was worried about the same thing, but, It has worked out. Pam
