Portugal: Pre-existing conditions and Pt health insurance:
It is my experience that pre-existing conditions are not covered by Alliance. Did you have the insurance prior to your cancer diagnosis?
Portugal: insurance for under 70:
You have to be UNDER 70 to get insurance from Medal.
Portugal: Spousal visa for EU national:
I am a UK citizen although I have not lived there in many years. My USA citizen spouse and I would like to move to Portugal. We are both retired. I understand I do not need a visa to move there, but would my wife need one? Thanks,
David
Portugal: Tips on 1st Trip to Evaluate Potential Move:
We were there very recently(Algarve area) and rented a car from Lisbon. We paid only 47 Euros for 9 days. The car was 5 years old but in good condition. The company this website uses is near the airport.

Portugal: Health Insurance Cost:
I have received a quote from Medal(afpop) but they do not cover pre-existing conditions. With high blood pressure (under control via medication) I need this coverage. Any ideas? Thanks. David
France: Spousal visa for EU national:
Using the French embassies and websites for information is almost useless. Can anyone tell me if my US born wife(I'm a UK national) needs a visa if we move to France? Can she just arrive with a tourist visa and apply for a Carte de Sejour after we arrive? We are currently living in Ecuador and we were married in the USA. We are both retired. Thank you for any help.
Portugal: Tax Rates:
I receive income from the U.S. that includes Tax free bonds, Social Security and Qualified stock dividends. Should I apply for a non habitual residency visa if moving to Portugal? Would these types of income be tax free in Portugal?
France: Residency Visa requirements:
Can someone direct me to a website that spells out all requirements for Americans and Brits to secure a retirement visa for France. Thanks.
Portugal: Residency Visa (Not the Golden Visa):
My wife and I are thinking of moving to Portugal. I am a UK/US citizen and my wife is a US citizen. You guys seem to know the rules so I am reaching out to you with a couple of questions. First, this is from the SEF site:
If you are a third country citizen and intend to accompany a family member who is an EU/EEA/Switzerland citizen, during his / her stay in Portugal for a period exceeding three months, please apply for your RESIDENCE CARD FOR A THIRD COUNTRY NATIONAL WHO IS A FAMILY MEMBER OF AN EU/EEA/SWITZERLAND CITIZEN
Since she would be accompanying me, would she need a visa before entering Portugal? Would we then apply for non-habitual residency status in order that our retirement income is not taxed in Portugal?
Many thanks, David

I used an FBI channeler. It's very fast but it will cost a bit. Try this link here:www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/identity-history.../fbi-approved-channelers
