Philippines: Water Heater & washing machine:

Hate to tell you this but front end load washing machines have and average life span of five years. They say some high high end ones last a bit longer.mwenreplaced one after five years, two people using it. You know you are in teouble when the repairman says chuck it. Top load last a bit longer. We also went through 2 dishwashers in 5 years. All crappy Samsung appliances, the three of them. All these are in Canada. Somit is not only a Philippine problem.

Philippines: Where to meet people around Puerto Princesa?:

Check out You tube. Ray and Vicki from my Palawan Experience, channel and a younger guy has a channel called from suits to share rats. Both live in Puerto Princesa and have Phillipina partners. Both seem like really nice guys.

Philippines: Politics:

We have problems in Canada too. Our Prime Minister actually elbowed someone in Parliament by accident, he was asked to resign!

Philippines: No Stocks, Im losing it:

Hey everyone, a couple of years ago I wnet to Kentucky Fried Chicken here in Canada and guess what they were out of chicken! Not only in the Phillipines. Sorry to say that store went out of busuness and they recently demolished the building!

Philippines: Do you like...:

I have never been to the PHilippines but am looking forward to being there soon. I have lived in Cambodia and Thailand. I love them both, especially Cambodia. But in the two years I vwas there i saw all of the things mentioned here and not only once. You have to accept it as a general rule although i have called out some line cutters and have had some blunt discussion with some police who felt I owed them. But Cambodia is still great place.

Philippines: Angeles Construction advice:

Hi there, there is a Canadian You Tuber under the name Philippines Living that just finished a house in Angeles, he might be able to help with suggestions.

Philippines: Splendido Tagaytay Block for Sale:

Hi Brian, I am just in the thinking stage of moving to Phillipines. I have been in Cambodia for awhile but am back in Canada right now. What kind of price are you asking for the land, does it have good road access and is there hydro into the property. Is it completely rural or in the town. I am a bit of a builder, although in Canada and Cambodia only, but it would be an experiment to try and build there in the Phillipines. Thanks take care. Barry

Burma: Creating a frienship network, in Yangon:

I am moving to Mawlamyine in September, the fourth I hope. Will be stopping in Yangoon for a week or so if anyone is around. I am going to teach English in the Mon state parliament if the Visa comes through! I know three other people from Canada moving to Yangoon between now and September. I ll direct them to this forum.
