Botswana: Advice on buying a car?:

Hi, my partner and I are going to be moving to Botswana in Nov for a year, but will be working in quite a remote area. I was wondering if anyone has any advice about buying a car in Botswana? We dont have a lot of money, so it would have to be the cheapest (but fully functioning!) car possible! Do you know roughly how much a small 4x4 would be likely to cost? And is a 4x4 actually necessary for travelling along main roads, or would a normal car do? Do you know how insurance, tax etc works? Thanks in advance! Tash
