France: Health insurance / Carte Vitale:
Hi, it depends how you declare your income. Your company can declare you to the government and you pay national contributions so you have rights to the health service.

France: Permanent Relocation Investigation:
Hi DONSCHALL1,
why don't you contact a specialist company that deals in that? We are such a company but I am sure that are lots of others that could help.
Its far too easy to get confused, the VISA should depend on your needs not the other way around...
Kind regards,
John Dislins

France: Looking to move with Family:
Hi adore9127,
I wish you well with your move to France and such a move as I know you are aware is not without its' complexities each one of which can have an impact of the other, taxes, health, schooling and so on.
I know you will get lots of advice and offers of help from this community and others but I urge you to consider using a regulated company with ORIAS who make sure that only qualified and experienced professionals are approved.
Things to consider though BEFORE moving are
Child benefit: Write to the child benefit section and let them know you are leaving; they should write and confirm the date you no longer get benefit.
Schools: Get school records where possible, books and homework done.
Health: Vaccinations are up to date in the childrens health booklets
Driving: Get proof of driving entitlements and no claims discounts for as many years as you can for all adults!
I really hope that helps and as for work, I was in the field of IT before launching my own company here so try to give me a call.
Goto http://www.pleasehelp.fr/en/newcontact.php and leave me your details and I'll give you a call.
Thanks

France: Moving to France - Utilities, internet, banking, etc:
Hi Ruby,
I strongly suggest (running a relocation company myself) that you wait till you get to France before opening that account with the credit agricole as the 'minimum' requirements are not an obstacle at that point. If you have a HSBC account, you could even simply request a French account.
Kind regards John
