Forget Ruskin (Little Harbor) if you plan to go into the water. LH is on Tampa Bay, not the Gulf, and the water is not nearly as nice as in the Gulf. The area is good for other things but not sea bathing.

Seems to me that the easier option is for you to marry her and both live in the US. Your job should easily be able to support the two of you while she goes through the process of overcoming that setback and getting her US citizenship. If you're working in Trinidad it will not be practical for your son to go to school in Tobago ... it is a separate island.
