Saint Lucia: Visas for fiancees?:

Hello. I have just acquired a job in St Lucia flying helicopters and will be moving next month. I am coming over to St Lucia with an employer sponsored work permit. Does anyone know if it is possible for my fiancee to stay longer than 6 weeks as a tourist since I will be working there? My contract is for 18 months and if she is only allowed to stay for 6 weeks at a time this makes things incredibly difficult... Any info, advice, etc is greatly appreciated!
