Oman: German kids at English school?:

Sigi, I am a Brit with kids at the British School(BSM) so I cannot comment specifically on the issue but the school has many different European and other nationalities. Most people here work for or around the Oil company, Petroleum Development Oman of which Shell has a stake. Accordingly, there are lots of Dutch and British expats. Besides TAISM and BSM there is the French School and the American British Academy. As far as security is concerned, my family and I feel safe , of course things can change but so could they also change if one was in London or Berlin - its no more than that. Personal safety is also not an issue, ok the driving is a bit sporting but not as bad as a lot of other countries I have been to. It is a great place to live particularly with young children.
