Guatemala: Renewable Energy:

Any leads in Guatemala would be greatly appreciated. I am seeking paid or volunteer work in renewable energy (solar electric, solar hot water, wind turbines, hydro-electric). Likely applications would include lighting, telecommunications, small scale water purification, water pumping, small scale refrigeration for medications, etc. Likely customers would be medical clinics, schools, conservation organizations, etc. I am capable of designing systems, managing projects, and installing systems. I currently work as a renewable energy professional in the US. My wife has previously volunteered in an orphanage in Bolivia for six months. She currently seeks paid or volunteer work creating/developing Autism and/or special education programs for children. We both speak Spanish at a conversational level so far. We are also considering Bolivia and Belize.

Belize: 100% Duty?:

Someone recently told me that Belize levies a 100% duty on imported goods. Can someone confirm or dispell this? Seems that this would seriously limit foreign investment.
