Argentina: Selling Apt as Foreigner:
Hi,
Please be aware that you will be paying roughly 30% in taxes for being a foreigner, unless you have a permanent residency In Argentina.
Also, it goes without saying.....chose a reputable lawyer carefully. Someone that good friends or family recommend.
I have someone from my distant family who is extremely ethical and who is a very reputable real estate agent. He could navigate you thru this mess, surely for a fee though.
Good luck!
Argentina: Questions--Moving there in 1 week:
Hi,
It should be no problem at all.
The first step when you arrive is passport control, and they typically cannot see how many bags you bring, and won't control your bags, so no problem. Just tell them you are visiting South America and passing thru Argentina. You will get a 3 month visa stamped in your passport. Once you pick-up your luggage, you will go thru customs and they scan your luggage. They may ask you a question or two, but just tell them the same....you are traveling thru South America and passing thru Argentina and need all the luggage for your future travels. Keep it simple and short. Don't be scared and be friendly, and your good to go! My advise! Good luck and have fun!
Argentina: Bicycling Argentina:
Hi,
I have not had the pleasure of using a bike in Argentina, but if you have seen the way they drive there then you will quickly realize that riding a bike there is having a death wish! They are not careful drivers at all and will run you over! I would certainly not take the risk, unless you are somewhere off road! Lol! Good luck!
Argentina: 90 day visa rule:
Im afraid that Tom is correct. Brasil is very stringent on the visa fee! Extra income for them. They don't care how long you cross for. Money! Money! Money! Btw....I've been on the Brasil side and it's not as pretty as the Argentinian side! Come to think of it....I don't recall having to pay a fee when I crossed over. Hmmmm. Not sure anymore! Well I guess I was helpful!? Lol! Sorry!
Argentina: Transfer US dollars to Argentina via Uruguay:
Can anyone recommend a good Bank in Uruguay that works or has Branches with a US Bank? I plan on transferring my money (monthly) to a bank in Uruguay and then bringing the US dollars back into Argentina to exchange on their official black market. Any advise or better suggestions?
Thank you for sharing!
