Peru: Housing:
We will be arriving in Cusco in mid January, and staying through early March. Does anyone have a suggestion on a place to stay. In Cusco, or perhaps a nearby town, and anything from the least expensive on up as long as it is safe.
Peru: Coming soon.:
I will be arriving in Cusco on about January 21st, staying for two months. If anyone would care to get together, or just shoot the bull, let me know. I plan on exploring around Cusco a lot, but I also enjoy kicking back and solving the worlds problems. Tom
Peru: 3,000 m2 - 10,000 m2 Land in Sacred Valley Peru:
Hi. I can't help much with your questions, as my only trip to Peru has been to Iquitos, but I will be in Cusco for 2 months beginning about 1-21-16. I live in Madison, Wisconsin. I would say there is no substitute for being on the ground checking things out when planning a move. Stay in touch and maybe our paths will cross in Cusco
Peru: See you in January:
I'll be coming to Peru for the second time in January for two months. I'll divide that time between Lima and Iquitos. I intend to explore Lima, and chill in Iquitos. Anyone in either place want to talk?
Peru: Supplements, Vitamins, etc.:
I am told that when a package arrives in Peru, the postage has been paid in say the USA, The Peruvian post office makes nothing for delivering it, so often they don't, they just send it back. Happened to us.
Uruguay: Coming to Piriapolis:
I am an American, age 67, coming to Uruguay in mid to late January or perhaps early February, and will be staying in Piriapolis for approximately 4 to 6 weeks. Anyone have any suggestions, thoughts, interest in having a beer, or anything else to tell me, I am listening.
Uruguay: Uruguay:
Looking for a safe affordable room to go to directly from the airport in Montevideo while I sort things out. Also, any thoughts on a small, cool, if you know what I mean, warm city to hunker down in outside of the big city. Much appreciated.
Uruguay: My visit to Uruguay:
I will be arriving solo In Jan with no friends or contacts. Can anyone suggest sleeping accommodations direct from the airport both safe and reasonable for a one months stay or while I sort things out. Also, can anyone suggest a small town both beautiful and warm if the big city is not for me. Thanks, Tom
Peru: Returning to Iquitos:
Considering returning to Iquitos in Jan or Feb for at least one month. Always nice to meet new friends for tips, talks and some fun. Who is out there and what are you up to?
Global Expat Forum: Are foreign women better for my lonely brother?:
Any time you generalize you are going to be wrong a big part of the time. That said, it is true that often times the love you find down south may not be true. You are rich, and they are poor, that is just the reality, and in their culture, you are probably going to find yourself taking care of the whole family. With that also said, go for it. Latin women can be absolutely super, kind, loving, great mothers, good cooks. Just use your head, the big one.
