Uruguay: On site Property Manager:

I am a retired medical professional with property management experience from owning a 16 unit bungalow complex in the rain forest of Costa Rica, multiple single family houses in the US and a medical complex. .I am looking for a house or spacious casita in exchange for management of property, managing property expenses, managing maintenance, personnel and repairs. If the property is for sale, I can show the property for the owners and/or make ready for owner arrival. I am a very active, quiet widowed Caucasian female in excellent health with passable Spanish. I would be willing to pay utilities for my accommodations. I can make management reports via Skype and/or in writing. I am able to utilize the vacation rental websites for renting and leasing property. I have been in Central America for 5 years and have a predetermined monthly pension as I am not old enough for US social security. I have two, five pound Medical Service dogs that are highly trained and non destructive. Willing to provide chef services to guests upon request. I can home school non teens and sit as needed as an additional service to guests. I have a valid drivers license and top security clearance. References provided upon request. I am currently in Panama and look to relocate to Uruguay in February 2017. The above listed number is a vonage number that can reach me anywhere. Thank you in advance for your consideration. Panama: Retired Women in Panama City:

I am 64 and SWF, retired. I lived in Costa Rica for 2.5 years and have been in Panama for almost 2 years. I have lived in a number of places, house sitting, etc. Coronado, (too cliquish and plastic), Gorgona (too hot and dusty), San Carlos (not sufficient resources without driving to Coronado) and Potrerillos. (too isolated and horrible road noise) but I love Panama. David is a nightmare to drive in. Boquete is quaint, but only if you are a tourist. It is overrated and overpriced. I made friends in all these places, and there were things about all of them I loved, but you asked my opinion in general. I am only speaking for myself. But now I am tired of Panama and am looking at Uruguay.

Panama: what does the "B/." mean?:

Panama: Coronado Used Cars:

Avoid Beaches Autos if at all possible. Try Jeff at Mango Motors or Josh at Corornado Cars or even Value Motors. If you shake hands with Craig McLeod of Beaches, count your fingers when you get your hand back.

Panama: Mercedes Mechanic:

New to the area. I have a 2004 Mercedes ML350 that needs a mechanic. It doesn't have to be a dealership just someone that know how weird these cars are and what to do. Thanks

Panama: Pensionado:

I have been here almost 2 years and have yet to recoup the $2000 it cost me for my jubilado. The only benefit is I dont have to leave the country every six months, but because I do, I have seen no return on the investment.

Panama: Shipping a car from Miami:

I have never experienced a bigger nightmare or headache than trying to bring a car here from outside Panama. I doubt you will find a Gringo that will refute this. You will pay 7% import tax on the value of the car (they set this value) it has to be in customs dock 2 weeks (and you pay rent for this) you pay from $750-2500 depending on the age of the car and then a 25% tax as well including the registration. You better love that car.

Panama: Looking for 6+ month rental in low season:

image 1 I am a youngish retired medical professional looking for a 6 month or more rental during low season in the Coronado area while trying to find work as an Executive/Personal Chef or property manager. I can provide excellent references. I retired from medicine due to nerve damage and am now following my second love, property rehab and management, and professional chef services. I am currently living and own property in Costa Rica. I currently manage a 16 bungalow complex and provide regular chef services to three clients. I would like to expand my horizons to Panama and would appreciate a quiet place to live with an adequate kitchen. Walking on the beach is great therapy for my nerve issue and if I can locate close to the beach it would be great. Please contact me if you want a non-complaining, self sufficient, extremely clean tenant. 2 BR, 2 Baths desirable.
