Saint Lucia: Fishing in St Lucia:

We are arriving in St Lucia next week for hopefully 6 weeks. Spouse and I both like to fish so brought our fishing rods. We usually fish from shore as a pastime. What areas are good if any for fishing? We are planning on NW area of island. Thanks in advance.

Saint Lucia: Travelling From Vieux Fort Airport to Rodney Bay:

Hello We are arriving in a week to the Vieux Fort Terminal around 2pm. What is the best option to get to Rodney Bay in the afternoon. We will be carrying back packs so busses may be a crowded option. If taxi, what would be a fair charge. thanks in advance

Panama: Panama City Apartels?:

Hello We just arrived in Panama City and are interested in staying few weeks if we can find some place with kitchen facilities and private room/bathroom. Have heard there are Apartel type places that are similar to hotels/apartments that we can rent for few weeks to a month but cannot find them? Can anyone suggest one in Panama City? Looking for something under $800 a month range,

Panama: Bus/Shuttle From Boca Chica to Pedasi Suggestions:

I am presently in Boca Chica for a couple more days and will be travelling to Pedasi, Panama. Does anyone have any more details than what I have found? 1. Take 6:30ish shuttle from Boca Chica to the main highway. 2. Wait for bus on highway to go to Santiago bus station (apparently there are 2 stations in Santiago). 3. Take bus to Las Tablas and possibly a 2nd bus to Pedasi? Does anyone have a schedule of the connections or waiting time? Tks Ray

Panama: Budget Rental Next Week n Bocas Del Torra:

I am arriving this weekend at a hostel in Bocas for a couple days and hope to find someplace with a private kitchen and washroom for 2 to 4 weeks. Spouse and I are travelling for winter on budget. Any ideas where to check when we arrive?

Panama: Costa Rica to Panama Border Updated Requirements:

I have read some posts about requirements crossing into Panama from Costa Rica and they seem to be mostly from 2013. Can anyone give me a 2015 update please? Wife and I are from Canada and are spending winter travelling Central America. We are right now in SE Costa Rica and will be traveling into Bocas Del Toro region of Panama in a week. Would like to confirm if we do need to have $500 cash each when crossing border? We do not have a return plane ticket for we are just using buses and boat taxis since we left Belize. We will be flying back from either Panama city or San Jose CR in spring. What is best option to show exit requirements from Panama please? Have heard that I should book a refundable plane ticket but expect that there will be some website cancelling charges. Have also heard that some print off a plane ticket before paying? Any suggestions? Was initially posted to Honduras forum by mistake. That is being deleted. Sorry

Honduras: Suggestions for Visiting Roatan First week of Jan 2014:

Hello We are travelling from Belize to Honduras via bus and water taxi first week of January 2014. Heard the Roatan is nice to visit. Any comments on best way to get there from Honduras, ferry possibly? We like snorkeling and water sports so this sounds interesting. Also any suggestions on places to stay under $75 CDN a night that is safe would be appreciated.

Honduras: Travelling thru Honduras from Punta Gorda, Belize:

Hello We have recently retired from Canada and are travelling through Central America. My wife and I are presently in Placencia,Belize and will be travelling by water taxi/bus to port of Punta Gorda. There we will be taking water taxi in Guatamela, then bus into Honduras. We will eventually be travelling to Costa Rica and Panama but will be bussing through Honduras 1st. Also considering a stop in Roatan but unsure. We plan to only travel by bus and NOT later in day, especially at night. Understand that Hedman Alas busline is a good one to take. Looking for advice on where to stop and stay for few days or nights while travelling for I do not want to rush. Although security is important we do not have budget to spend $200 a night at a hotel. Thank you in advance.
