Mexico: Temporary Resident Visa Requirements (mainly financial):

go to the consulate where you live take six months of bank statements, photos of each of you, passports, download the application from the consulate fill it our for each of you and apply. It is that easy, I got my permanent residency card the same day I applied. You do not need an attorney, just go and apply. Ask for permanent residency for both of you. Stop reading the blogs on residency they are full of misinformation and lies.

Mexico: Mexico, 3rd most dangerous....:

I don't know where you got your information but Mexico for the most part is perfectly safe. The border towns are where the danger is greatest. If you go on Numbeo.com and check the latest statistics on crime in Mexico for the area you are interested in you will find that for the most part it is quite low. Cancun is a good example, as well as Playa del Carmen. There is crime everywhere and if you go to dodgy areas you will find it.

Mexico: Looking for retirees in Playa del Carmen who live on less than 1,ooo usd/mo:

living near the beach will cost you about a thousand a month in rent alone. If you live in a Mexican neighborhood in a house you can find something for 350.00 a month unfurnished but you will need residency or to pay the rent for at least six months in advance (or 1 year). Living near the beach is expensive and not practical if you want to save money. You definitely can live on a thousand a month or less. Look in Tulum or Cancun for somewhere and go down, rent a place for a month and look around for a place, hire someone that knows the area to help you find a place. Also you could rent a furnished apartment for 4-5 hundred a month and see how you like it. It is doable.

Argentina: unfurnished apartment:

I am moving to Argentina in December and would like to rent an unfurnished apartment in Palermo 2-3 bedrooms w/washer dryer hookup and balcony. I will pay the rent for a year in advance and would like a 3 yr lease. Any insight on costs for a unit similar to this? It MUST be unfurnished. Is it reasonable to assume that one could be acquired for 250-350 month plus gastones? recommendations for realtors? thanks for the info and feel free to call me if you have MJ. I live in Mesa Az. 321-215-7176

Mexico: MOVING TO YUCATAN:

I am moving to the Yucatan area this year and would like to caravan with someone that is going. If you have an interest let me know. I live in Mesa, Arizona but could leave from Texas if necessary. If interested send me a private email and we will talk. thanks, Jake

Mexico: permanent residency:

I am wondering if some one can answer this question for me. Can a couple (man and woman) get residency together if they are not married but do live together?they have the same address and have sufficient funds (retirement) to qualify for retirement visa. They do not have a marriage license. Is there any way to get this without getting married? thanks

Paraguay: Apartment rental:

I would like to inquire if there are small furnished apartments for rent in Asuncion that rent for 4-500 a month? I am not interested in paying 1200. a month for a place to live. Any information on rentals would be greatly appreciated. Can one rent a motorbike by the month? How much? thank you, Jake

Argentina: apartment in Palermo:

I was wondering if someone could give me a average for an apartment in Palermo for an unfurnished apartment with a patio. Is it possible to find one for 250-350 per month? I have a friend that has one furnished 2 bed for 475. so am thinking unfurnished would be less. I will be a resident of Paraguay. I am willing to pay one year in advance. Thank you. Jake
