If Ecuador is your "home" why are you trying get away with as little time as possible in the country? Why do you want a passport if you are really living somewhere else? If you're not allowed back in, it won't be on a technicality.

Ecuador: Fingerprints for RCMP BG check:

We are currently in Peru, with no chance of a return to Canada any time soon. The cops here have no idea what we are asking for. Can we get our fingerprints taken for the RCMP BG check while we are in Cuenca in a few week's time? We know we'll then have to send them back to Canada, but we have a company lined up to do the BG check, and stamps, if we can get the prints done formally. Anybody done this? Thanks
