Chile: Advice needed on relocating dogs:

I'm planning on moving from the States to Chile in September and will be relocating my two small, elderly dogs down there. I've already looked up all the logistics for flying them down there and the paperwork I'll need from my vet. What I'm looking for are people who have moved their pets to Chile in the recent past (the most recent info I could find on this site was from 2011) and would be able to share their experiences with me. For example, how was the flight for your dog? What airline did you use for shipping them? How did you find a place to live that would take dogs? How have they transitioned post-move? Did you experience any unexpected complications with moving them? Needless to say, my dogs are like my children and I'm pretty nervous about sending them so far, but I cannot leave them behind. Thanks!
