Philippines: Motorcycle Rental:
I am planning to come to the Philippines this December to check out where I'd like to move to next summer. I was planning to rent a motorcycle and use the ferry system to get around. I did this in Cambodia and it was great but it sounds like the Philippines is quite a bit different. Any suggestions whatsoever would be greatly appreciated like if this is a good idea or bad idea, areas to check out, reputable motorcycle companies, etc. Really any advice would be great.
Thanks!
Cambodia: ESL Cert. Question:
I taught 7th grade world history for 3 years in South Carolina but do not have an active teaching license. I plan to move to Cambodia (probably Sihanoukville) in the next year or so to teach English. Does anyone know if it is more attractive to perspective employers to gain the TEFL certification while living in Cambodia or should I get it before I leave the US? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Cambodia: TEFL:
I am planning to move to Sihanoukville in the next year or two to teach English. While I have a degree, it isn't in teaching. I am planning to get my TEFL/TESOL cert. but am wondering if i should do it here in the US or wait until I get to Cambodia. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Gordon
Cambodia: Cost of Living in Sihanoukville:
I visited Cambodia a couple years back and have decided to move to Sihanoukville. I have taught school for three years and will obtain my TESL or TEFL this summer with hopes to land a job teaching English. I know that the teaching dollars are less in Sihanoukville but as is the cost of living. Has anyone done a true cost of living versus wages earned? Any advice, leads on teaching jobs, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
