Kuwait: Female teacher in Kuwait:
I am off to Kuwait in August to teach as well. From what I have been told it is a fairly liberal arabic country. All of theire food is shipped or flown in and I was told that the prices are similar (sometimes more expencive sometimes a lot less) than prices in the UK. This would put a loaf of bread at aprox $1.50AU, Milk $0.50 Au per L.
Some good web sites to ask questions (and have some of them answered are:
http://thesnakeinthegrass.blogspot.com/
http://www.tes.co.uk/section/staffroom/
http://www.hejleh.com/countries/kuwait.html
http://www.kuwaitiah.net/index.html
I am a Tasmanian and am really excited about moving there. Worse comes to worse it is only a year.
As for safety... I could walk out of the door and get run over by the bus...
See you in Kuwait
Kuwait: Kuwait International English School:
From a teachers view point then go to:
http://www.tes.co.uk/section/staffroom/
And click on Teaching overseas. Teachers can not use the schools name but if you go searching then you can find a lot of info on Kuwait schools.

Is another teacher web site that you can be honest on and use the schools name. I would try one of those.
Kuwait: Bringing the husband:
Hi, I am moving to Kwait city in August as I have just gained a position at one of the international schools. With the laws being the way that they are my husband needs to get a job (he is a chef) in order to stay in the country. Any ideas where to find one? We have searched the net and nobody has any chef positions.
