Where is the restaurant that has these awesome hamburgers you mentioned? Would appreciate knowing where it is located. Thanks very much.

Costa Rica: How much does it rain:

I have found many answers to my questions about Costa Rica by simply Googling the questions. For instance, in response to the person's questions about the rain in CR, please go to this link for a map of the amount of average rain in every section of CR. The address is: http://costa-rica-guide.com/travel/weather/weather-map-rainfall/ I hope this answers your quesiton. God bless!

Costa Rica: Random rookie questions about moving to CR:

This question is geared to 'tiowi'. I read your comments about moving expenses to CR and they were very helpful. However, I didn't see the name of the moving company that you said was reliable and reasonable. Would you be kind enough to post their name and how to contact them (if they have a web address, that would be great). Thanks so much! The info about shipping a car is also very helpful! Thanks so much. I was wondering about that. Can you give an idea of what a 6 to 8 year -old car might cost in CR? Just a guesstimate? Something like a Honda, Hyundai, Subaru, or other foreign car, etc. That would be most helpful. Thanks bunches!

Panama: Murder near Gualaca/Boquete:

Hi. I know someone who lived just a few doors from Joe who was killed by the intruders. Very sad. I would like to know what neighborhood you live in, PanamaJames, if you do not mind sharing it, because it sounds very nice. I have been wanting to move to Panama for a few years now= working on the funds to do so. I think I would like to live where you do. Even with the crime, it's no worse, I don't believe, than it is in the U.S. People are murdered every day in Houston and there are home invasions here as well. If you know of any other reasonably priced areas to live among expats or near them in Panama in the highlands, I would love to know about them. Any information would be helpful for making plans. Thank you so much! I will be praying the violence gets better instead of worse. I don't know of a place anywhere nowadays where there are NO gangs. They seem to have infiltrated every place on the planet, just about.

Costa Rica: Likes and Dislikes of Costa Rica:

Hi Gill, I loved your description of living in Costa Rica. I know every place has it's plusses and minuses, but so be it. The main thing is to get out of this country before everything goes belly up under the current administration. I'm working diligently towards it but man, it's tough when all you have is Social Security! I appreciated everything you said. I hope to still make it. One person should be able to live on $1,000 a month, right? May I ask what area you live in? Sounds lovely. Appreciate your input so much! Blessings, Laurie in Texas

Costa Rica: Prescription Med availability:

Hi, Like the other lady who wrote about the availability of narcotic meds, I have had to be on Methadone (2 =-10 mg. tablets twice a day) for the past 10+ years due to a very botched surgery. I am wondering if it's possible to obtain Methadone there in Costa Rica in ANY province? If so, please let me know which one it would be. I was thinking about moving to Panama but just discovered you can only get narcotic meds there if you are hospitalized. No other way. That won't work for me as it is the ONLY pain med that works so far. I've tried them all. Oxycontin also seems to work but haven't been able to get any RXs of it in years. I would appreciate any information anyone can provide on the availability of either Methadone or Oxycontin. Thank you so very much! Blessings to you all! :)
