Saudi Arabia: Nursing in Saudi:
Hi,
I am currently packing to go back for my second time - leave on wednesday. Came back for a year and realised i loved my life there too much. I was working at King Faisal and enjoyed it. The facilities are good and housing is better than i expected. You usually have to share but you have your own bathroom in most housing and they try to put you with someone of the same or similar nationality. If you want more informaition my email is salsxa@yahoo.com
Saudi Arabia: Nurses in Riyadh:
Hi,
I am an australian nurse at King Faisal. I have now been here a year tomorrow and well i enjoy it.
The hospital has a great reputation and although you may get some weird patients (depeding on where you will be working) the people are nice. Majority of the staff are expats on all wards with the occasional saudi nurse.
Some practices may be different but you eventually pick them up and forget how things are done at home.
Where are you from ad what ward will you be going to.
Feel free to email me as i dont visit this site very often

Hope this has been a help.

Saudi Arabia: Any single women living in Dhahran?:
Hey,
I am a single women and i live in Riyadh and i am having the time of my life. I ahave now been here for 8 months and have no plans of going back to australia in the near future. I have a fantastic social ilfe here, better than at home and i have made some awesome friends, ones i know i will have for life!
As for the compounds i have heard that aramco ones are very good quality and everything is supplied, ie: sofa, beds, kitchen utensil and anything else you may need, if you are not happy with the furniture there is an IKEA and other furniture places around.
There is possiblilities for relationships and i am sort of in one now and majority of my friends have boyfriends and although it can be tricky in public it is easy in compounds so yes its possible.
Hope this has been some help and your plans go well

Saudi Arabia: writing a novel:
Hi,
I must say i agree with your other replies, i dont think you can write a novel about this place unless you have lived here. I have been here 8 months and the stereotypes i heard before i came here were very far off. I love this country personally and i plan on writing a book about my experiences here when i go home if i go home.
This is a country that needs to be exoerienced before you can write about it.
Sorry. That's just my opinion.
Saudi Arabia: King Faisal Hospital - a good place to work?:
Hi,
I am a nurse and i am leaving for riyadh in 8 weeks to work at King Faisal Hospital. (Obviously as a nurse.) I know i can't really help you in the admin department but from what i have heard from people i know who worked there and other reports, it seems like it is a good place to work for all staff.
Google King Faisal hospital and you should find quite a few websites. Hope this is some kind of help, it would be good to have a few aussies over there with me!
If you want you can email me at salsxa@yahoo.com

Saudi Arabia: Moving to Riyadh-How bad is private life?:
Hi,
I am a single female and i am planning to move to Riyadh in December. I will hopefully be working at King Faisal Hospital as a nurse. I heard from a friend who was over there for a few months that the embassys have parties where you can meet lots of people and she made quite a few friends in the compound she was staying in.
Hope you find this helpful.
