Malaysia: IPC Education versus Good National curriculum or PYP:
If you are considering an international school that has IPC check if they are running it with specialist education or if they are trying to get by with just GP teachers.
GP teachers at IPC schools are expected to teach all areas of study and discipline. How will one person handle Music, PE, Art and DT as well as ICT? It is the type of curriculum that is born of economy or lack rather than providing quality it is trying to make do with less teachers. Would you really want your child to be educated by one person for the entire year?
Kuwait: Female teacher in Kuwait:
I'm considering a position offer in kuwait as a teacher and would like to know what other female teachers have to say about teaching and living in Kuwait. If not a teacher some other western females from Australia, UK, NZ or US. What is it like? Anything I should consider by way of pro or con.
I'm not much into heavy duty social activity nor shopping.
Really am content to write or read.
Like to go to the gym.
How available is fresh fruit and vegetables and the cost compared to US or Australia?
Foreign Affairs department in this country have posted warnings about living in Kuwait and hightened risk. Comments?
Kuwait: Kuwait International English School:
Can anyone please tell me what they think or have heard about this school in Kuwait. Kuwait International English School. (not the KES)
If you teach there or have a child attending, I'd be most interested in either point of view.
Thanks
Anter
