Scotland: Do you miss Glasgow? the street you used to live in, or curious about old pals?:
I`m interested to hear from people abroad who come from Glasgow and miss it. Maybe you would like to see a certain part again, a street, a place, an old workplace, maybe you wonder how an old pal is doing( i would need to able to find them so the more info the better, and obviously they have to be people who would be happy to hear from you) . Well maybe i can help but I am curious as to whether this is a worthwhile pursuit? all i know or sure is that I myself have spent many years away from Glasgow in the past, and i did miss it and wonder about people, so please get in touch if your up for an experiment, who knows where it might lead :-)
Scotland: where to live in scotland for 6 months:
if you want to travel all over then you need a good base, so Glasgow would be my shout, west end and near a canal for walks, i only suggest because for whatever reason, people are always friendly on the canals :-)
Scotland: Can't decide between Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen:
I`ve lived in all 3 at one time or other, Edinburgh i agree, not only beautiful to look at but also a pleasant enough place to live, good transport, good social etc.
Glasgow is the largest of the 3, east end is a bit like london, good for a bargain but rough and should be treated with caution, they dont mess about in that neck of the woods lol
west end is more cultural, more art, museums, good social spots(similar to parts of aberdeen).
South side is mixed like the north side, middle and working class areas but the south side hosts the majority of Glasgows Indian/pakistan people There is plenty in Glasgow to keep you entertained and in my opinion is the pick of the 3 in terms of social side...though..
Aberdeen is fast becoming the place to be and has become much more diverse and milti cultural now than it was when i was there 20 years ago, it has a good social set up, with classy bars and clubs etc and its a beautiful city in its own right, clean sea air which always made me tired lol and you got the mix of city folk and country folk combined which i like, canny beat a bit of tradition.
It all depends what kind of stay you wish to have?
hope that helps :-)
