Belize: Rentals for checking out Belize for relocation:
We would like to come check out Belize as option for relocation. Would like to come January or February understand its the high season. We need minimum 2 bed one bath, would love pool. Can we use one area as base or two or three to get better feel? We have 7 year old so schools for future would play big part in location. We prefer Ocean or close too.

Ecuador: Where do all the Expats Hangout:
Westmc, I love your post, lucky for me I didn't find this website until I had all ready visited Ecuador twice. The country and people are wonderful.
Windshadow. Thank you for pointing out my poor writing abilities, my spelling and grammar are equally as bad. I have always admired people with the ability to write well. Lucky for me the people who I values opinion do not use those qualities to judge a person by. I also look for less superficial qualities then weight, grammar, and looks to pick who I want to associate with. I find kindness, sympathy, integrity (honesty, truthfulness, honor, loyalty, reliability) to be qualities I look for.
But even with my poor writing skills, at least I do not have to resort to foul language, and inappropriate remarks to get my point across.
Ecuador: retiring to EC:
Windshadow. What anger you seem to have building put. I was went to your profile to check it out what happened to "keeping on the high road"
Ecuador: medical costs:
I find it hard to believe that expats that say they love the country and people even considering draining the insurance when they have not contributed.
I feel like it is stealing from the poor, and anyone doing it should be ashamed. Isn't it enough to save on most of the prescription prices.
Ecuador: Ecuador Scouting Trip with Kids:
I agree do not rent a car the insurance is more then the car rental. We made that mistake on our first trip, roads are not well marked is at all. You can get driver to take you to main city starting point, then taxi while in city. and so on from place to place.
We have 6 year old and are now coming back to decided between Manta and Salinas for our final move. The 2nd trip we planned to see Salinas, but where discouraged from doing so. But after read these post have decided we need to check again to make sure.
Good luck
