Belize: looking for a way out and a way in:

I'm a self-employed licensed plumber from VT and am considering moving my wife, dog and self to belize. Not being of retirement age I'll need work any suggestions on finding it. I'm a hard worker with business experience and my wife is an licensed massage therapist, any advice would be welcome. Tired of the cold!
