Nicaragua: alternative health centers in nicaragua:
Those tax figures seem shocking. Do you mean "$" as cordobas or US dollars or what?
Nicaragua: I AM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE INTERESTED IN A OR DOING A LONG TERM LEASE IF YOU WANT TO RUN IT YOURSELF, OPENING A BAR AND GRILL IN SAN JUAN DEL SUR.:
Just left SJDS with similar thoughts in mind. Actually checked out several real estate and business opportunities. Back in USA for a while... but it is only a plane fare away. Tell me more about whet you have or what you propose. Private message is better for this context.
Nicaragua: Cities on the Pacific:
San Juan del Sur in the south is a bustling beach / tourist town. Corinto is basically a shipping port.
Nicaragua: Expats in Nicaragua.:
Dear mslioness,
Matagalpa and Jinotega both near the sustainable coffee plantation at Selva Negra are in the highlands have delightful evening temperatures this time of year and very few bugs. I was there a week ago (Feb 26 & 27) and needed a sweatshirt and long pants in the cool evenings. Keep in mind that Jan, Feb, and March are the dry season in Nicaragua and therefore few bugs most everywhere. When the rains return May through Nov. expect more insects. It's just part of life living in Nicaragua.
Nicaragua: Earthship Pitaya Music Festival:
This music festival shows up on the radar. I'm planning a trip down to Nica about this time (Feb 18-23/2013) Has anyone been to this. I'm an old hippy ...love concerts,,,but don;t want to be the only old folks in the crowd. Any info from folks who've been there done that...or who are currently involved or planning to attend would be appreciated.

Turkey: Is anybody out there??:
I've been viewing this Turkish forum and don't see a single reply to any of these inquiries. I lived in Turkey as a child and would like to return. For a visit initially and perhaps somday sooner than later to relocate. I noticed on another site that property managers and real estate brokers are in demand, which happens to be my filed. Is there anyone out there who could give us curious souls a little info?
For starters iswould be helpful to find a good online map. I also read that forenigers cannot own cell phones. Is that true? if so why? How's the internet service in the larger cities and resorts? I wouldn't expect much in smal villages and have read that foreigners can't purchase in villages anyway. Any dialog at all would be appreciated. You can reply through this forum or contact me at:

Costa Rica: New Yorker leaving comfort zone for Costa Rica!:
I'm a pea in the same pod. Would like to find a travel companion for an extended visit (over a month in early 2006) or any one of future planned visits to any or all...Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panama, Beliz, and El Salvador for a fact finding mission(s) in hopes of locating the perfect place for manifesting a new business venture. Anyone with info or serious interest should contact me through this forum or at: trisha@durangocountry.com
El Salvador: El Salvador:
Just browsing the forum on El Salvador. I'm serious about traveling in Central America early winter months of 2006. My friend said that El Salvador has a great airport. But I can't find a good map of the country. Any suggestions.? Aslo is its safe for a single woman to travel alone for an extended visit of the region? including...Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador and probably Panama too
Would love to do some volunteer work, but if all pans out well, on future trips would be looking for gainful employment with expectations for long term. I'm a career real estate broker and wold love to be involved in that, but also I have skills for an interent based business. What countries have the best internet infrastructure?
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated
