Jamaica: Nurse jobs in Jamaica:

As your parents are Jamaican born the easiest route would be application for unconditional landing - a more straight forward process and you can apply at the PICA office in Mobay or Kingston. Once received you can live and/or work in Jamaica as much as you like.

Jamaica: Moving to JA with Non-Jamaican Spouse:

Your wife will meet the rules for unconditional landing by virtue of being your spouse. UL is easy to obtain once you have all the necessary documentation. Application can be made in Kingston or Mobay. (My fathers birth certificate did not have his surname on it, I applied on his behalf for a new birth certificate at the Registrar Generals office which delayed the process by a few weeks. Once obtained I went to the immigration office and received UL the same day). Good luck!

Jamaica: Mosquitos:

I too am an all you can eat buffet for mosquitos for the first two weeks I am here, after that they tend to leave me aloneish. Once you're eating Jamaican foods and are acclimatised I hope the same will apply to you!

Jamaica: So I've moved to Mobay:

I'm moving to Lucea on Friday to live with my boyfriend, however I would like to make my own friends too!

Jamaica: moving to jamaica:

Hi Neisha2712. Not yet but am undertaking more research myself. I think I can apply for citizenship before I go, I am going to contact the High Commission to confirm. Once received I hope I don't have to apply for residency too. I have also discovered that I can apply for unconditional landing. A lot of what I have discovered is through reading posts on this forum including a recommended removal company who are actually local to me! Vinnyvin

Jamaica: Process for emigrating to JA:

My Jamaican father and white British mother are resident in St Elizabeth but I am planning on moving to Lucea to live with my Jamaican boyfriend by the end of the year. What are the steps I need to take to make this happen as smoothly as possible? I will be in JA for two weeks at end of April and again for six weeks in the summer. Is there anything I can get done to start the process? When is best time to apply for residency? I know I can get citizenship by rules of descent, should I apply before I leave UK? I will not be seeking employment as I will help my boyfriend in his business. I am considering in investing in a rental property in JA - good idea/ bad idea? Thanks in anticipation of your help.
