France: long term visa.:

I'm an American living in France and going on my 4th renewal of the carte de sejour. I had always heard that on year #5, I could apply for the 10 year. It'd be great if it is 3 yrs - I can apply this year! I cannot find this info. anywhere - did you find a website with the 3 year info? Thanks in advance!

France: Franch school in Nice:

My husband and I are moving to Nice for 1 year. We would like to take French classes during that time and were wondering if anyone's had experience with the French schools in Nice? If so - would you recommend it and why did you like it? Thanks! mm

I am trying to locate a good french immersion language course in the south of France. I am aware of the Institute de Francais, but wondered if anyone has either had a positive experience with another course, or has heard good things about another course. Thanks so much for the help! mmein

Brazil: Advanced Portuguese course:

I grew up in Brazil as a child and have gone back a couple of times. Many of my family members speak the language, but I have not kept it up. I know basic portuguese, but would like to brush up on my Portuguese language skills. I am looking for a course (CDs, tape, ......) for ADVANCED Portuguese and business Portuguese. So far I have only been successful in finding Portuguese for beginners. Is anyone familiar with any advanced Portuguese information (CDs, tapes, books) that you'd recommend? Thanks in advace, Martha

My American employer may soon be transferring me to England. My ultimate goal is to live and work in France. Once I'm in the EU, can I use the work visa to work in France? Is the work visa for from one EU country transferrable to another? mm
