United States: Serious International Shipper?:

I've moving back to France after 3.5 years living in California. I would like to not come back with just some luggage and I'm checking some international moving company. It seem that it can be expensive, quiet complex and sometime more than sketchy. After reading this article: http://www.movingscam.com/articles/a-guide-to-international-shipping I'm quiet frightened. I know that selling my stuff seem more logical, but I'm happy to get rid of 70% of my household items, but would love to still ship some that have a low resell value (even if high buying value) and sentimental value. Do anybody have some serious company to recommend? Thank you for any of your advices. Hugues
