Then you have to go to a Western Union branch to pick it up? Is there one in Cuenca?

If you cast a vote, you WILL vote for one of them, indirectly.

Ecuador: General Election Coming Up--Don't Forget to Vote!:

HomeExchanger, The Republican Party's platform is not synonymous with Trump's, hence their apprehension in endorsing him. A Huffington Post article in February, in which they interviewed a few Social Security activist groups like Social Security Works, said that Trump came out firmer against social security cuts than Hillary did. Hillary said she didn't plan on cuts, but wouldn't rule it out. Trump said firmly he will not cut it. People forget that Trump was a liberal for many years before switching parties, and a lot of his stances reflect that, much to the chagrin of the Republican party.

Thanks for the recipe! I'll have to keep that. Just want to add some facts about Zika and microcephaly: 1. Zika has been around for 70 years and has never caused any serious problems. Some suggest that a very small % can develop Guillain-Barre, but there is not real proof of that. 2. Zika outbreaks in 40 other countries caused no increase in Microcephaly, even when 75% of the population had Zika. In Columbia, 3,177 pregnant women were infected with Zika, and all were carrying, or delivered, healthy babies. 3. The US has 20,000 cases of Microcephaly per year; it can be caused by any insult to the developing fetus, including malnutrition. 4. The week before the link between zika and microcephaly in Brazil was made, Brazil's health agency, ABRASCO, put out a report saying that their pesticide use has skyrocketed due to infestations of their GM soy and cotton plants, making them now the number one consumers of pesticides worldwide. 5. Three of the most widely used pesticides/herbicides in Brazil, Atrazine, Metolachlor, and Glyphosate, have been shown in studies to cause restricted fetal growth, small head circumference, and microcephaly (among other things) 6. The Brazilian govt. put a larvicide called Pyriproxyfen in their drinking water to combat mosquitoes, for 18 months in starting in 2014. It's made by a business partner of Monsanto, Sumitomo Chemical. They say it poses "minimal risk to birds, fish and mammals." But, wouldn't that depend on variable factors, such as how much water you drink? 7. The Brazilian govt., at the suggestion of the WHO, mandated the Dtap vaccine for all pregnant women in 2014, despite the fact that the vaccine insert for the Dtap vaccine clearly states that it's never been tested in pregnant women. 8. A UK biotech company called Oxitec, released genetically modified mosquitoes in Brazil to combat Dengue fever. Which, incidentally, went up afterwards. The GM mosquitoes were supposed to mate with the wild mosquitoes, but the embryos were supposed to die, UNLESS there were certain antibiotics present, some of which are used in animals in Brazil. 9. Of the 4,180 cases of Microcephaly originally reported in Brazil, 732 were examined, and only 270 also had a link to the Zika virus. Underwhelming numbers even if correlation did equal causation. Plus, they changed the terminology from "microcehaly" to "microcephaly and other birth defects," and from "had the Zika Virus," to "had an association with the Zika virus." That's not semantics, they were getting the results they expected, so they broadened the parameters. 9. Both Argentinian and Brazilian doctors, and several organizations have spoken out about this issue and feel that one or more of the above acts is much more likely to be causing an increase in Microcephaly than Zika. If you ignore the constant "suggestions" of the zika-microcephaly link, paired with pictures of babies with tiny heads, the WHO never really says zika causes Microcephaly, they just "suggest" a "link." Yet, the CDC is asking for $1.8 billion to combat Zika, and want to develop another money-generating vaccine for it. Perhaps the Brazilian govt. would rather a virus that's been considered benign for 70 years be blamed instead of their actions.

Ecuador Welcome Forum: Shipping fron the US West Coast?:

Does anyone know how much it costs to bring extra luggage, and overweight luggage? And, how many can you bring if you're willing to pay the fees? And, what about oversized items that won't fit in a suitcase? And how common is it for your luggage to get lost?

Ecuador Welcome Forum: Help - Are you flying from outside to Ecuador - we need a camera!:

Sinego, Is bringing items like a camera into EC for someone different than bringing hard to find food items in for someone? I thought I've heard people on here several times saying they have friends and family bring toiletries and food.

Ecuador Welcome Forum: Pension Visa:

Moodyblue, Did Sara say that included in her price was help finding a hotel, an apartment or house, opening a bank account, getting a driver's license, and even starting a business. She told me all of that was included, but it was almost a year ago.
